Keisha Jackson

Keisha Jackson (born in 1965 in Brooklyn, New York) is a female R&B singer and the daughter of R&B singer, Millie Jackson.

When she was 15 years old, she worked as a background singer for her mom. After attending college in Atlanta, Keisha and her friend started a girl group together & played in the clubs in Atlanta.
In 1989, she released her self-titled debut album on CBS Records. It's unknown how or if the album charted at all.
The first single from the album "Hot Little Love Affair" charted at #39 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles, staying on the chart for 14 weeks.
The follow-up singles "He's So Jealous" and "U Needa Lover" didn't appear to make the Billboard music charts at all.
In 1991, Keisha released her second album titled "Keisha" on Epic Records. It's unknown how or if the album made the charts at all.
The first single "Mature Love" charted at #80 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles, staying on the chart for 4 weeks.
A promotional single "God Send" was released, but didn't make the Billboard music charts at all. Another song from the album, "Mama Told Me" was released on the "New Jack Swing Mastercuts Vol. 1" album (which was released in the U.K.).

After that, Keisha worked with LaFace Records as a background singer and worked on tracks by artists such as Toni Braxton, Bobby Brown, and Whitney Houston. She was involved in a plan with Warner Bros. Records to make a music group called Black Coffy, but unfortunately, those plans never materialized.

These days, Keisha continues to record and perform music. She has started her own agency called One Voice Entertainment and often performs as a backup singer with Erykah Badu's band.
