Kimberly Scott

Kimberly Scott (born in 1986 in Landover, Maryland) is an R&B singer from the '90s.

She performed in public for the first time when she was 5 years old & won the amateur night concert at the Apollo Theater five times. After opening up for R&B group, Immature, Kimberly got a record deal at the young age of eleven.
In 1998, she released her self-titled debut album which peaked at #95 on Billboard's R&B Albums chart.
Kimberly's first single "Tuck Me In" became her only hit to date, peaking at #58 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #21 on Billboard's Hot R&B Singles chart, staying on the chart for 20 weeks.
The follow-up single, "Don't Leave Me Alone" failed to chart due to lack of promotion. In 1997, she collaborated with Taiwanese singer, Harlem Yu on the cover version of Barbara Mason's song, "I'm Ready" which was included on Harlem Yu's English cover album "Harlem Music Television."
In 2002, 16-year-old Kimberly (now Kim Smith) released her second album, "Y'all Ain't Ready" on the independent record label, The Cipher.

As of 2010, Kim is living in Washington, DC with her twin sons and she is the lead singer of a band called Love District. She also started her own record label called K.I.M. Productions and is working on her third album.
