Centerfold were an R&B vocal duo from Minneapolis, Minnesota that consisted of Keni Towns and Phil Jones. Their sound was similar to productions by music producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis.
In 1988, the duo released their self-titled debut album on Columbia Records, but it didn't appear to make the Billboard charts.
Their first single, "Party Rebels" peaked at #66 on Billboard's Hot Black Singles chart, staying on the charts for 7 weeks.
The follow-up single "Shoe Shoe Shine" (which was written by Nick Ashford and Valerie Simpson)didn't appear to make the charts.
After that, it seemed as if Centerfold has faded into obscurity. Nothing much has been heard from them since.
